Is summer getting you all hot and bothered? What you need is a cool, refreshing glass of lemonade. When you combine the cleansing properties of real lemon juice with the anti-oxidant properties of ceremonial grade matcha, you’ve got heaven in a glass. There’ll be no stopping you after this one!
What you Need
- 1 cup water at 80 degrees C (176 F)
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Matcha Zen Tea
- 1/2 cup maple syrup*
- 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice**
- 3 cups ice water
Place the matcha in a bowl and add a little water. Whisk with a chasen or small whisk until there are no lumps. Add the rest of the water and whisk.
Add the maple syrup and lemon juice and mix well***. Add the ice water and leave in the fridge until chilled.
* Use 1/2 cup Agave here or 2 cups of sugar. Sweeten to taste.
**Try to use organic lemons to get the most out of your healthy lemonade.
***A couple of slices of fresh lemon in each glass will add to the experience.
